One Act Play - participants

Page history last edited by John Abbe 16 years, 7 months ago

Kaye Williams posted an open session topic, offering a script that she wrote for a short play setting the stage for a neighborhood transformation game. The title of the play is "The Relative Helplessness of Chronos". Two people volunteered within minutes to be in the play, and the 3 of us then agreed to get back with each other later, as we all were eager to attend other sessions. Later that evening I (Kaye) talked to 3 others to fill all of the roles. We scheduled the play to be performed at 9:45 Tuesday, as one of the four 15-minute sessions in front of the whole group.

John Abbe played Chronos

Carol Brouillet played Gaia

Bruce Mc Connell played Player B

Brian Good played Player A

Mark Tovey played Youth (catalyst)

Kaye Williams played narrator.

We performed the play without rehearsal and it was fun. When I get the video imported and posted on the web, I will link to it here.

The file linked above is the script as used on this day, in a form easy to read on your screen. I might make some changes to it later. The link below is the same script, formated as print-ready to make a 12 page little chapbook you can print with your own computer, if you would like to perform this play. It is "copyrighted" in an open way to be shared. print1actplay.pdf

To perform the play in a complete way you will need a copy of the Board Game.
