Session Notes how-to

Posting Session Notes

The conference wiki is the virtual place to see and post session notes. There's also a news wall where you can post a printed copy. We'd certainly like to have notes from the sessions organized and announced in the morning marketplace, and also from any other conversations or activities which you think others might find valuable.

For human help with any of this, find someone on the Tech Team.

Accessing the wiki

The wiki address is http://storyfieldteam.pbwiki.com/

You can get to it using a conference computer, which will always be logged in to the wiki (in which case skip down to Creating a page for your notes).

To use your own computer, go to the wiki and click on the "Log in" link toward the top right.

Enter the password - colorado - and your name and e-mail address, and click "Log in".

Creating a page for your notes

(If you're convening or recording a session, see the sheets available with some notes and guidelines - also available in For convenors and recorders in the sidebar of the wiki.)

Click on "New page" (one of the blue buttons toward the top left).

Type in the name of the session and click "Create new page".

Type or paste in your session notes and click "Save".

Listing your notes

Click on Session Notes in the sidebar.

Click on "Edit page" (another of the blue buttons toward the top left).

Scroll down (if necessary) to the current day; add a line and type in the name of your session, exactly as you typed above.

Select the entire name, from beginning to end.

Click on the button in the bar of icons above the edit area. A window will come up, just click OK.

Click "Save".

Printing your session notes

Click on the name of your session, to go back to the page with your notes.

Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click on "Save page as PDF". It's one of the light gray links under "Page Information" - it has the icon next to it.

Open the file you just downloaded and print it.

Put the printout up on the news wall.
